Frequently asked questions
The things people most often ask before they get in touch. If your question isn't here, just give us a ring or send a message — we're happy to help.
Common questions
Which areas do you cover?
We're based in Colne and work across Pendle, the West Craven villages, the Ribble Valley, and over the border into North and West Yorkshire — 31 towns and villages in all. If you're not sure whether we come out to you, ring and ask; the answer is usually yes.
What roofing jobs do you do?
We specialise in the small jobs bigger firms tend to turn down: clearing and repairing gutters, replacing slipped and broken tiles, stopping small leaks, chimney and flashing repairs, and general roof health checks. We also offer operated cherry picker hire when a job needs safe access at height.
Do you charge for a quote?
No. Quotes are free and there's no obligation. We arrange a time to pop round, take a look, and tell you exactly what needs doing at a clear, upfront price before any work starts — no nasty surprises or hidden fees.
How quickly will you get back to me?
We aim to reply to every call or message within a couple of hours during the working day. If we're up a ladder and miss you, leave a voicemail and we'll call you back. We know how frustrating it is when tradesmen ignore small jobs, so we value every enquiry.
Is there a minimum job size?
Not in the towns around us — a single slipped tile, a blocked gutter or a small leak is exactly our kind of work. Small jobs are what we do, not what we squeeze in around bigger ones.
How do I get a quote or get in touch?
Whichever way suits you. Give us a ring for a quick chat, WhatsApp a photo of the problem from the ground — we can often quote straight from a picture — or send us the details by email or through the contact form.
What happens when you come out?
We get back to you to talk through the issue, arrange a free look, and then tell you exactly what needs doing at a clear price with no pressure to go ahead. If you do, we treat your property with respect and tidy up after ourselves — when we leave, all the rubbish goes with us.
Do you hire out the cherry picker?
Yes — as operated hire, not self-drive. We bring a truck-mounted cherry picker and a qualified operator holding the relevant certification for it (IPAF/CSCS as applicable), set it up, work it, and take it away. It's charged by the day, with fuel at cost confirmed when we quote.
Still got a question?
Ring us or WhatsApp a photo of the problem — we'll tell you what it is, what it needs, and what it'll cost. No obligation, no hard sell.
